Tithes and Offerings

Giving is one of the biggest ways we sow into God's kingdom. It impacts the lives of our congregation, our community, and even has impacts around the world. It draws us as individuals, and as a church body, closer to God through fulfilling His purpose in our lives.  It helps us do three things: 

• We Do Something God Loves

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” —2 Corinthians 9:7

• Our Hearts Change

Jesus reveals something very deep about our human nature when He speaks about giving. Our hearts will naturally follow what we treasure. We can treasure any number of things, but how we use our resources reveals what we treasure. Giving allows us to purposely steer our hearts the direction God wants them to be.

• We Are Able To Join God In What He Is Doing

Look where God is at work and join Him in it. When giving to God’s Kingdom becomes a priority, there is a tangible opportunity for us to do that. Through giving we are able to join God in what He is doing.
